Beauty Tips

SHOES

  • Brides magazine suggests buying two pairs of shoes, one to wear for the ceremony and the other more suitable and comfortable for dancing. Having a summer wedding? Store you shoes in the fridge for a while so they will feel cool on your feet!!
  • If you are having an outdoor wedding, avoid heels that will sink into the ground.

MAKEUP

  • If you don’t want your lipstick to rub off, try brushing your lips with powder after you apply your lipstick. Then apply a second coat of lipstick so your lips still shine.
  • Want your powder to look fresh and stay put all day? Before you put mascara on, lightly powder your face with translucent powder. Next, take a spray bottle filled with distilled water and quickly spray your face twice, this will set your powder and give you that fresh-makeup look all day.

HAIR

  • Before the wedding, be sure to schedule an appointment with your stylist. This will give both you and your stylist the opportunity to practice what styles look best for your big day. Bring any hair accessories with you that you want to use on your wedding day. This includes your veil, headpiece, or any other accessories you may wish to use. (Allow for several trial runs with your hair if necessary)
  • If you are thinking of changing your hair color or getting a perm before your wedding, do so at least 6 months before. This allows enough time for any necessary adjustments to be made to the color or style.
